Simple Steps to Releasing Fear

It seems everywhere you go something or someone is spouting fear. It's hard to stay productive and positive when fear is all around you. Right now, many who are entrepreneurs are having a challenging time creating business because they are fed fear as our economy shifts.

I believe that fear can either stop us or propel us to change or opportunity. (Please read my article, How Are You Using Your Fear)

Here are a few simple things you can do to shift fear in your life.

  • Stop watching or listening to the news. Stay informed but don't dwell on the shifts and changes happening around you. Read the newspaper either on line or in paper form.
  • Keep a journal and write your fears there. Also keep a gratitude journal; you'd be amazed at how quickly your world will shift when you stay focused on what you have instead of what you don't.
  • Meditate and pray. Pray is talking to Creator, mediation is listening to what Creator has to say in return. Meditation and prayer are a personal process. I do my best mediation or prayer work in the shower or playing card games on my computer. It's a personal process, have fun with it.
  • The more positive your thinking the more positive your world will be. Read inspirational writings, fill your mind with fun and inspiring thoughts, listen to music that makes you smile, walk in nature, go fishing.
  • Laugh as much as you can.
  • Clear your home of lower energies. Use white sage, Epsom salt and alcohol clearing techniques to remove the electrical charge left over from fearful thoughts and emotions.
  • Use essential oils as aromatherapy to balance your emotions.
  • Play more, go and have fun, there are many activities that are free that will raise you out of fear.
  • Ask yourself questions and be honest with the answers.
    • Why have I created this experience that causes fear in my life?
    • What do I still need to learn from this experience?
    • Who do I have to become to switch this reality from fear to peace?
    • Is my fear real or imagined?

Finally, whatever you fear will become a reality because it's what your mind is focused on. Many times Fear is just negative thinking; instead have positive imagination about whatever you fear.

Fake it till you make it and imagine a different outcome. You will have a different outcome and you will find peace with positive thinking.
